About Spalding
Founded in 1876, Spalding is one of the world’s most recognized sporting goods brands, known globally for its basketball equipment and sports products.
With operations across the United States, Mexico, Australia, China, and other markets, Spalding manages more than 10 legal entities and works across multiple sales channels, warehouses, and third-party logistics providers.
As the business continued to expand, Spalding needed a modern ERP platform that could support global management, regional operations, and future growth.

The Challenge
Spalding’s existing Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 environment could no longer fully support the complexity of its growing international operations.
As the company worked across multiple markets, sales channels, warehouses, and third-party logistics providers, its e-commerce, ERP, inventory, and logistics systems needed to work more closely together. Order, inventory, and fulfillment information had to move efficiently between systems, while regional teams also needed better visibility into daily operations.
Finance teams faced similar challenges. Banking, payments, invoicing, tax management, and cross-entity reporting still involved manual processes, and differences in regional systems and data structures made global reporting and collaboration more difficult.
To support its next stage of growth, Spalding needed to modernize its ERP platform, connect key business processes, and establish a more consistent operating model across legal entities and regions.
The Solution
Huamei Soft helped Spalding move to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management, creating a unified ERP platform for global finance, sales orders, e-commerce, inventory, warehouse operations, and third-party logistics processes.
With Dynamics 365, Spalding was able to bring core financial and operational data into a more connected environment. Huamei Soft supported the standardization of financial processes across multiple legal entities, helping improve reporting consistency, consolidation, and financial control.
The implementation also connected Spalding’s e-commerce platforms with Dynamics 365, allowing sales orders, inventory data, and fulfillment information to move more efficiently between systems. By integrating warehouse and third-party logistics operations, the solution gave teams clearer visibility into stock availability, order status, and fulfillment activities.
At the same time, Dynamics 365 provided Spalding with a common platform for managing global operations while still allowing regional teams to meet local business requirements.
Business Outcomes
With Microsoft Dynamics 365, Spalding established a more connected and scalable operating model for its global business.
The company improved visibility across finance, inventory, orders, and supply chain operations, while reducing manual work in financial and operational processes. E-commerce order processing and fulfillment became more efficient, and teams across different regions gained a more consistent view of business data.
The new ERP platform also strengthened collaboration between global and regional teams, giving Spalding a flexible digital foundation to support future growth and ongoing operational improvement.
Supporting Spalding’s Next Stage of Growth
By modernizing its ERP platform with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Spalding created a stronger digital foundation for its global business.
With connected systems, standardized processes, and improved operational visibility, the company is better positioned to manage complexity and support continued international growth.
Huamei Soft continues to help global companies implement, upgrade, and localize Microsoft Dynamics 365 across China and international markets.
